We believe that all people matter

Wednesday

Even though it was their last day at Lledr Hall, the children managed to fit in another fun activity this morning. After a hearty breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns and beans, two groups went off to do the high ropes, whilst the other group had a go on the low ropes. Whilst having their dinner, the children had a chance to reflect on their time here over the last few days. They have had lots of adventures, faced many challenges with a can-do attitude and have overcome many fears. They have had so much fun and have made many happy memories which they can't wait to share with you all!

Tuesday

After a good night's sleep we were all up early and raring to go! A cooked breakfast gave us all the energy for a busy day. The children were split into their activity groups and headed off on their first adventure.

All groups took a trip out to Cwmorthin to hike up a mountain and explore an old slate mine. Two groups also spent time on the low ropes (otherwise known as the Jungle Gym). Both groups met challenges head-on and showed great teamwork. The other group put their balancing skills to the test on the high ropes and tested their nerves on the famous 'Indiana Jones Bridge'.

For tea tonight, the children enjoyed roast chicken and vegetables followed by some delicious profiteroles. Afterwards, we made our way down by the River Lledr for a singalong round the campfire with some toasted marshmallows.

The children are now winding down to a film before bedtime. They are excited for their last activity tomorrow morning, but are even more excited to come home and tell you all about the adventures they have had at Lledr Hall!

Monday

We arrived safely at Lledr Hall after a scenic journey through Wales. The children spent some time getting to know their new home for the next few days before stopping for dinner. After refuelling, the children had their map-reading skills put to the test as they spent the afternoon orienteering in the grounds at Lledr. The children were very excited to find out where they were sleeping! After settling in to their dorms they were treated to a tasty tea of meatballs, pasta and garlic bread followed by sticky toffee pudding - yum!

This evening we all went out on a night-time walk in search of the Northern Lights! The children enjoyed using their torches to hike up the hill next to Lledr and look at the moon and stars. Once we made our way back to the hall it was time for supper and straight to bed.

The children have had a fantastic first day and are excited to see what tomorrow brings!
