Year 2 Summer 2 Curriculum

This half term our RE theme is: 

 This half-term our RE topic is called ‘Treasures’. 

During the topic the children will take part in lessons and activities to help them know and understand what we treasure and that the world is God’s treasure given to us.

New National Curriculum
If you would like to know any more about your child's learning please speak to the class teacher. -

Key Stage 1 Children:


Our children are involved in Phonics lessons following the Letters and Sounds scheme which is part of their reading and writing development. These sessions begin at 9.05 am.

Please ensure your child is on time so that sessions can begin.


At St Mark's our children follow a reading scheme that includes a variety of different types of reading books from various publishers to ensure they have access to a wide range of texts. These books are numbered using the Reading Recovery levels. Please help your child by reading at home as often as possible.
