Welcome to Year 2
Dismissal Time
Years 1 - 6 dismissal time is 3:30pm.
What You Will Need in Year 2
Reading Books: Your child will need to bring their reading book and reading record to school every day. You are encouraged to read with your child every day and to sign their reading record.
Homework:
Once a week, homework will be sent with instructions to practise something that children have already learned in school. This could be maths, handwriting, reading or grammar.

If you have lost any of your passwords or have difficulty logging on, please speak to the class teacher.
Spellings: New spellings are sent home every Monday so the children can practise at home. They will be tested on these spellings the following Monday.
PE: For Summer 1 half term, your child's PE day is Thursday. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit on this day. The class teacher will clarify which kit is needed (indoor or outdoor) at the beginning of each half term depending on what their topic is.
Library Day: The children have the opportunity to borrow a book from the school library. Year 2's library day is Wednesday.
Water Bottles: Children are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school each day. It may only contain water - no fruit juice or cordial please.
