Our School Day
Time for Teaching
We are obliged to publish the amount of time spent in actual teaching - apart from registration / administration / assemblies / prayers etc.
- The Nursery and Reception class are taught for 22 hours and 35 minutes, starting at 8:50am and finishing at 3:20pm (NUR) and 3:25pm (REC)
- Key Stage 1 are taught for 23 hours a week, starting at 8:50am and finishing at 3:30pm.
- Key Stage 2 children are taught for 25 hours and 30 minutes, starting at 8:50am and finishing at 3:30pm.
- Breaks - 10:30am, 11:00am and 2:00pm
- Key Stage 1 Lunch time: 12.00-12.30pm in the hall, 12:30-1:30pm outdoor play
- Years 3 and 4 Lunch time: 11:30am-12:00pm in the hall, 12:00-12:30pm outdoor play
- Years 5 and 6 Lunch time: 12.30-1.00pm in the hall, 1:00-1:30pm outdoor play
It is vitally important that teaching time is not lost through late arrivals disturbing teaching. That is why we ask children to arrive promptly between 8:40 - 8:50am and be collected at 3:30pm.
